Kitsuya Japanese Restaurant sits quietly in a modest corner of Wolli Creek, offering straightforward Japanese dining with a focus on fresh sushi, ramen, and a handful of thoughtful specials. The atmosphere inside is unpretentious and clean, with practical seating that includes an outdoor option, which can be a nice spot during milder months. While it doesn’t aim for flashy décor or mood lighting, the warmth comes through in the attentive, friendly staff who know their regulars and make the ordering process smooth and fuss-free, especially with their QR code system for easy, on-the-spot orders.

This place feels best suited to those who appreciate quality Japanese food without pretense—locals popping in for a casual lunch or relaxed dinner, small groups keen to share a variety of sushi rolls, or anyone craving a comforting bowl of ramen. The menu is broad but focused, highlighting classics like their Chicken Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen, and robust sushi offerings including sashimi platters and creative rolls such as the Dragon Roll and Volcano Roll. Portions strike a good balance—enough to satisfy without overwhelming.

The food leans towards fresh and well-seasoned, with some dishes showing a willingness to experiment—like the charsiu spring rolls or the spicy tuna options—though these can sometimes divide opinion on flavor intensity. The Edamame here, notably well salted, often earns a nod of approval, and the kingfish ceviche is a favorite pick that guests find themselves ordering again.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge given the location’s modest strip mall setting, so many recommend using the nearby Woolworths carpark for convenience. The service is timely, which complements the efficient ordering system, making it a reliable spot when you want Japanese food without the fuss of a long sit-down experience.

Overall, Kitsuya fits nicely into Wolli Creek’s growing food scene as a dependable spot for those who enjoy Japanese cuisine in a clean, straightforward environment—ideal for casual occasions where good food and friendly service are what count.

Interesting place. Curry is nice although could use more curry. The charsiu spring rolls with cheese sauce was very interesting but it's more like pulled pork. The tuna carpaccio was nice but the spiciness of the source was overpowering meaning you don't really taste the fish but you only get the texture. The others were different takes on Japanese food.

I've had a lot of Japanese food in Sydney, and this beef bowl is absolutely amazing! The staff here are always so nice and kind. Thank you all!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Wolli creek! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food portion and flavour were great, we got really surprised by the flavours in the ramen and curry. We would definitely recommend coming and checking it out

Absolutely delicious food! Very simple to order of a QR code and can order more as you go. Staff were very friendly and probably the best edamame was perfectly salted. We ordered the kingfish ceviche twice it was that good! All reasonably priced too. You cant go wrong here

Food is always fresh and service is fast. Sushi and Sashimi’s here taste great. Very efficient ordering system on the phone too makes the experience more enjoyable. Team here are friendly and very polite. Atmosphere is nothing special but it’s warm and super clean. There is outdoor seating option too. Hard to find parking if you are driving. Best option is to park in Woolworths carpark which is less than 5 mins away and free for first 2 hrs. Discovery point carpark is another option. We’ve been here couple of times so far and will definitely go back.

I love their lunch bento and donburi! I haven’t tried their sushi, so I can’t comment on it. The restaurant has a great ambiance for dinner—I’ve brought both my date and my family here. The food is decent, not outstanding, but they offer a variety of Japanese dishes, including tapas, sushi, donburi, and ramen. They also have a selection of alcoholic drinks, including Japanese sake, wine, and soju. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is lively but not overly crowded. It’s a great spot in Wolli Creek for lunch, dinner, or just drinks. Also, they offer a 5% discount for cash payments.

Definitely one of the best , highly recommend Kitsuya Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem for sushi lovers. The sashimi is incredibly fresh, and every piece of sushi is top quality. Make sure to try the Miso Butter Edamame, Miso Eggplant, and especially their sushi ~ must order dishes
